SUSTAINABLE Remediation Trap & Treat®

Sustainable in-situ remediation and bioremediation

Being first is not always easy. In 2002, Remediation Products Incorporated (RPI) pioneered using activated carbon for in-situ applications, rather than just treating pumped water.

Three factors ensured viability:

  • Proper design and installation – Product is placed where needed, not randomly.
  • Correct grain size – Material stays where it is placed and does not flow with groundwater after installation.
  • Appropriate sustainable treatment mechanism – Each grain continuously adsorbs more contaminants.

After 20 years, RPI’s BOS100®, CAT100 and BOS200® technologies are the reference points for treating organic compounds like chlorinated solvents, hydrocarbons, pesticides and dioxins.

While many have tried to copy RPI’s products, no provider can match their track record.

The market is flooded with misconceptions about using activated carbon as an injection medium. The answer is simple: it is not easy. It requires the right approach, tools, experience and understanding of how slurries behave during mixing and injection.

That’s why each site is treated as the first. The unique treatment mechanisms ensure safe, predictable design, implementation and performance monitoring. Activated carbon alone will not work. Adding compounds can worsen conditions by creating competition. Synergy is needed – a strength of RPI’s technologies.

Since 2010, Ejlskov has endorsed RPI’s technologies and approach, completing projects across Europe and China.

Our goal is not to sell product but give clients a clean property using minimal time and budget.
