TechNOLOGY & Tools

Delivering high quality services is something that can only be achieved when the right technologies and tools are applied on a job.

From HRSC and Remedial Design to In-Situ Remediation and Performance (or compliance) Monitoring, Ejlskov has introduced and developed over the last 25 years efficient technologies and tools to the European market focusing on delivering high-quality results to each individual client.

Our staff and partners are still the key to success. When working with Ejlskov we ensure that each staff member assisting our clients has a full overview about the project, objectives and what the client is ultimately seeking.

From our highly flexible drilling equipment and tools, to the MIP system; from the custom-built remediation systems to our very own Environmental Site Model (ESM) software, each item is maintained and operated to the highest standards as we expect each of our clients to receive the same results when choosing us as their partners.

Without mentioning the incredible support and partnership Ejlskov is bound to within the RPI Group.
The Trap&Treat® BOS100®, CAT100 and BOS200®, BOS200®-Plus products are the very first ever activated carbon-based technologies linked to unique treatment mechanisms which enables the in-situ remediation efforts becoming highly safe and predictable.

Last but not least, RPI unique support to its clients with free of charge analyses of soil and groundwater samples, from design, to implementation and performance evaluation of the remediation process.

Direct Push and Direct Sensing Probing

Ejlskov offers a range of drilling options, including Geoprobe machines and frosted auger drilling machines, to help clients delineate vertical and lateral contamination at different geological settings. We use a variety of toolings for direct push and direct sensing probing, including MIP systems, Pneumatic Slug Test kits, dual tube tooling, soil gas probing, and SP16 systems for groundwater sampling. Ejlskov’s use of MIP allows for initial qualitative screening of contaminant distribution and geological conditions at a site, while their dual tube/direct push tooling reduces the risk of cross-contamination. Ejlskov also offers unique “free of charge” laboratory support through their US-based partners at RPI Inc.

RPI Laboratory Support

Ejlskov offers a solution to the problem of encountering more contamination than initially planned by collecting as many samples as needed, at any frequency and density, without charging clients any costs. Their use of the MIP system improves efficiency by guiding them to areas and depths that require focus when performing soil coring and installing groundwater wells. Ejlskov partners with RPI Inc. in Colorado to provide free soil and groundwater analyses throughout the entire project life, ensuring remediation planning is done with the highest accuracy and predictability for clients. Ejlskov can also support clients with analyses for performance monitoring or validation purposes of hundreds of groundwater samples, providing multiple lines of evidence for the evaluation of remediation works performance.

Environmental Site Model (ESM)

Ejlskov’s ESM is our own developed software tool that provides real-time visualization and contamination distribution and quantification analyses for HRSC, Remedial Design, and high-density data collection projects. ESM combines GIS tools with key data analysis features, helping clients re-organize and give more value to years of data. During and after the remediation or monitoring phase, ESM helps clients keep track of degradation processes, estimate contaminant mass removal, and evaluate groundwater conditions improvement. ESM is user-friendly and available to any client for better decision-making processes and data analysis.

Injection System

Trap&Treat® technologies are versatile and effective in any environmental condition, from harsh environments to mildly contaminated areas. The success of these technologies relies on a solid remedial design and accurate injection. Ejlskov’s team of injection experts, with extensive experience across the globe, ensures precise delivery of Trap&Treat® products in the subsurface. With customized injection systems and high-capacity mixing units, Ejlskov can provide tailored solutions for any contamination level, geology, or site condition. The injection process is closely monitored and managed in real-time, minimizing downtime. Ejlskov’s operations leave minimal trace on-site, with the products working efficiently until the site is clean. Whether it’s bedrock injections or soil mixing, Ejlskov offers tailored remedial design solutions for each unique site.

Remediation Technology – Trap&Treat

RPI pioneered the use of activated carbon for in-situ applications in 2002, and their BOS100®, CAT100 and BOS200® technologies are now the reference points for treating organic compounds. Proper design and installation, correct grain size, and appropriate sustainable treatment mechanism ensure safe, predictable design, implementation and performance monitoring. Synergy is a strength of RPI’s technologies, which have a proven track record unmatched by any provider. Ejlskov has endorsed RPI’s technologies since 2010, completing projects across Europe and China. The goal is to give clients a clean property using minimal time and budget. Remediation Technologies

Remediation Technology – Flourosorb

Activated carbon has limitations in dealing with perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs). Ejlskov recommends considering surface-modified organoclay like Fluorosorb as a better solution. Fluorosorb outperforms activated carbon and anion exchange resins in adsorbing PFAAs per unit weight of adsorbent and can be applied in treatment beds or injections. Ejlskov has been licensed by CETCO to provide in-situ injection solutions for clients needing help with PFAAs. Fluorosorb can be used in source areas to reduce PFAA leaching and as permeable reactive barriers to control PFAA migration. Fluorosorb’s particle size ensures it stays where injected and does not move with groundwater, preventing the PFAA problem from being moved elsewhere. Ejlskov’s approach always focuses on optimizing remediation design to provide the most cost-effective and timely solution when using Fluorosorb.
